2) Take a stroll…

The best way to enjoy Norwich is certainly by foot, as the city houses over 1500 historic buildings and 33 medieval churches, which is more than any other city in Northern Europe. With examples of Tudor architecture, and cobbled streets throughout the city you will enjoy every moment you spend exploring what the city has to offer.

3) The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts

Norwich is home to two outstanding universities, and on the University of East Anglia campus, there is the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. Built-in 1973 to house the Robert and Lisa Sainsbury collection, the centre houses works from Picasso, Degas, Henry Moore and Francis Bacon to name a few. If the fine art isn’t enough of a drawer, then the building itself is worth a visit for the architectural splendour.

Fun fact: The Sainsbury centre was used as the entrance for the Avengers headquarters in the Marvel film Avengers Assemble.

Norwich has a plethora of independent shops to indulge yourself in, so when visiting the city a touch of retail therapy is a must. The family-run Jarrolds is known as the Harrods of the East with an award-winning book department with over 40,000 titles. Outside of Jarrolds, there are also larger retailers and well-known names, which means you get the best of both worlds.
